Then you are here in the right place:
No matter if you are already teaching in oriental dance and just wants to deepen your knowledge; or if you plan on teaching in the future; or if you just want to work on yourself and looking for new input.

What does expect me?
7 weekends fully packed with information’s, many hours’ theory, informative hand outs and many music examples.  Sudatory workouts, great choreographies, some “homework”.

The Topics

Step 1: “Basics” in September
We get to the bottom of the technique in oriental dance, we work on the performance, we learn to recognize mistakes and to how correct them. We develop combinations and train the correct way to count. We learn the most important basics - hits with the cymbals.

Step 2: “Rhythm” in October
We deal with most important basic rhythm in oriental dance (focus on Egyptstyle).
We learn to recognize and to term them. Practical examples show us how to turn the
rhythm in the dance.
We deal with the typical instruments in oriental dance and have a try at
Tabla
and cymbals.

Step 3: “Stylistics” in November
We extend our basic knowledge of the different styles in oriental dance and the appropriate costumes. We learn which typical music belongs to it and train on some practical examples.

Step 4: “Music analyse and choreography” in December
How do I analyse a composition and create choreography? Here we make a step towards the solution. We count compositions and structure them. The “model kit system” will also be deployed. (Tips to cut the music)

Step 5: “Classic Choreography” in January
A good teacher should be a model. We develop a sophisticated classical stage choreography, with which you can convince the audience.

Step 6: “2x Choreography – folklore/traditional” in February
A sort of repertoire in traditional dances and folklore is indispensable. Here we have it as double pack. We develop different dances within the area of traditional and folklore.

Step 7: “Methodology/Didactics” in March
Now we have a big knowledge, but can we use it? Which way leads to success in
the lesson?
We intensely repeat the contents from praxis and theory by reference to some small demonstration lessons.

Finally
Hand over of the certificates and cooling down Party.

The lessons take place at the Scarabeo Palace Nuremberg.
